So I figured I make a thread of my build so you guys can follow along with what I'm doing. Towards the end of November 2020 I bought my very first Mustang. It's a 2014 Mustang GT Premium. I worked hard to save up for this for a while and finally my dream had come true. This is the perfect car for me! It was completely stock and low miles. I actually had it shipped in from Illinois to look at it. Buying a sports car in Ohio in the winter months most would consider crazy but I couldn't pass up on this deal and so I went for it. It mostly sat all winter while I owned it. It drove me crazy not being able to drive it and just to sit there and look at it. Fast forward to now, the weather is breaking and summer is almost here and now it's time to start modifying the car and making mine stand out from the others I see. I live in a small town and there's actually quite a few S197's that cruise around here. I only have 1 picture of it stock because my phone fell in water and I didn't have my pictures backed up. Well here she is! I have big plans for her and I've already started modding her.

The first modification I did was swap out the ugly pony rims for some brand new PP1 rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot sport 4 S tires. I lucked out because my dad knows a lot of the guys at the Ford dealership and they called him and asked if anyone he knew was interested in these. They were removed off a new GT as the customer wanted aftermarket rims instead of the PP1 setup. Long story short I bought these for $800 brand spanking new! I couldn't pass that deal up and these tires grip a hell of a lot better than the stock wheels did. I love the offset of these as well.20210414_163106_HDR.jpg20210313_112743_HDR.jpg

The next mod I went with was the Borla ATAK exhaust system with X pipe and wow does it sound like a different animal. This has been my favorite mod so far. It sounds so mean and such a blast to drive now.Resized952021040195150124.jpg20210327_211804.jpg

Up next I went with an MMD diffuser and the Shelby GT500 wing. This is the time that my mustang is starting to look a little different than anyone else's around here. This made a huge difference on the rear of the car. Now when I beat up on them Hemi's they have something nice to look at as I pull away 😆 I also had 15% window tint all around and a sun strip on the front windshield.

Now that I started getting some of the cosmetic mods down it was time to get her more HP! So I started out with a Bama Rev X tuner with a 93 Octane Race Tune and the Airraid cold air intake. This really woke the car up and it drives completely different now ( in a great way)20210508_203013.jpg20210506_165416~2.jpg20210510_202026_HDR.jpg

Today I got an early day off so I decided to go ahead and install the next mod on my list. This mod required me to cut into my beautiful mustang, this was so nerve racking! I put this off for about a week because I was contemplating if I should actually do it or not. I'm not a fan of cutting into the car but I fell in love with this part and it would pretty much complete the rear of the car the way I wanted it. So I finally did it and I think it turned out great! It's a Fred's rear deck lid panel with a genuine GT badge from the newer S550 mustangs.20210510_190053.jpg20210510_191118.jpg20210510_193232.jpg20210510_193339.jpg

This next mod was really cool and very inexpensive, I went with the Raxiom sequential taillight wire harness. Super easy to install and fun to watch. Here's a video of the turn signals, brake and the victory hazards 😆
